The film is about ice-yachting, the winter ice sailing races in which children and junior yachtsmen from the city of Berdsk of the West Siberia. Headed by their coach Igor Matyukhin, the young ice racers set off to the International competitions on Lake Baikal, where they will contest the first prize, speeding faster than their competitors and sailing faster than the wind.
