This documentary unveils the incredible journey of one man’s dream to bring Formula 1 racing to a small village in southern Sweden. Against all odds, a whole community united to make this vision a reality. From 1973 to 1978, Anderstorp in Småland hosted six unforgettable Formula 1 Grand Prix races—all thanks to the bold ambitions of Sven “Smokey” Åsberg. For Smokey, no obstacle was too great, and no idea was off-limits. His determination transformed a wild dream into a legendary chapter in racing history.

The documentary premiered on Swedish television (the public service channel SVT) in August 2024. The viewing figures were about twice as high as SVT’s advance estimates and the film received a lot of media attention and good reviews.
