Aleš Kunaver is one of the most important Slovenian alpinists, the leader of our first expeditions to the Himalayas and the founder of the first school for Nepalese mountain guides.In the film, we meet his life companions – alpinists, friends and family, and through their views and memories we build an image of a man who believed that mountaineering is not about overcoming nature, but about becoming more human. We read his life not as a story about peaks, but about values: about solidarity, modesty, dedication and responsibility – those foundation stones on which he built not only his path, but also the future of Slovenian and global alpinism.
